At Campsie Physiotherapy, we offer chiropractic services that can treat joint problems and muscle strain. Two chiropractors, Tom Xin and Sammi Du, will provide massage therapy which manipulates stiff joints and corrects poor posture.

This helps patients to start performing muscle strengthening exercises and, as a result, adjust the strength the spine.

The most common treatment technique used by chiropractors is spinal manipulation. This method applies passive forces of flexion, extension and rotation of specific vertebral segments in the spine. It is used effectively for the treatment of sacroiliac and vertebral dislocations, sprains and adhesions. Some examples of spinal manipulation include toggle drop, lumbar roll, release work and table and instrument adjustments.

Hydrotherapy basically requires a range of methods and techniques. The benefits of hydrotherapy exercise in a pool and the use of Pilates equipment while exercising include:

Dry needling uses acupuncture needles to deactivate nerve and muscular activity in trigger points, found in the muscle belly. It also shuts off the nociception or pain receptors in the muscle and ligaments.

Muscles relax and joint pain eases, facilitating normal joint movement. Blood flow returns to the muscles and joints, it flushes away the hormones and chemicals that cause some of the pain.
